From May 1, 2024, new parking rules apply in the city of Pärnu. The paid parking area has expanded, parking fees and times changed. Parking in the public parking areas of the city of Pärnu is organised and supervised by Pärnu City Government.
The parking fee must be paid before or immediately after starting parking. Parking in a paid area of the city can be proven by displaying a parking ticket, or electronically.
There are three paid parking areas in the city:
- the Old Town area
- the City Centre area
- the Beach area
- INTERACTIVE MAP (all information, including the locations of parking meters)

Parking in the old town area is paid Mon-Sat 08:00-19:00 (except national and public holidays), Sundays free of charge.
1 hour free with a parking clock, the price for one day (24 hours) is 10 €.
How to pay for parking
- Parking tickets can be purchased from parking meters. The nearest parking machine is located on Independence Square (200m walking distance from the hotel).
- You can also pay for parking in the city’s parking area using the Pargi.ee or Flowbird parking apps. The parking app supports payments for parking using a bank card and can be used by everyone, including customers of a foreign mobile operator.
- SMS parking is only available to users of Estonian mobile operators:
- To start parking, send a message to the number 1902.
- In the message, write: car number, space, area code (eg: 123ABC PVANALINN).
- To end parking, call 1903.
